Frigidaire’s Affinity Front Load Washer recently received ENERGY STAR approval from the U.S. Department of Energy. The new washer from Frigidaire took four out of five spots in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR rankings. The ENERGY STAR ratings measure the washer’s water efficiency and the energy required to run the washer and heat the water used for a wash cycle. Frigidaire was also recently recognized as a Special Honoree in the 2010 ENERGY STAR awards.

Here’s what Marty O’Gorman, General Manager for Frigidaire, had to say about Frigidaire home appliances:

As a proud Energy Star partner, Frigidaire is committed to helping our customers save money and increase energy efficiency in their homes. That’s why our new line of laundry and kitchen appliances offer industry leading energy efficiency along with innovative features that minimize energy and water consumption. We’re proud to offer appliances that save consumers time, money, and considerable amounts of energy and water – from washers that use up to 155% less energy and 63% less water to dishwashers that use at least 41% less energy and 40% less water than was used just 10 years ago.
